Kilimanjaro Climbing Via Lemosho Route - 8 Days Itinerary
Our team will pick you up and assist you to the hotel where you will rest and get the general briefing of the trip including equipment check to make sure you have all appropriate mountain equipment, snacks, and medications.
Today the journey starts from the hotel to the starting point Lemosho Gate, the drive takes 2- 2-3 hours from Moshi town, you have your packed lunch and are expected to open it at the gate. Your trek will start soon after finishing registration and lunch. Lemosho gate 2100m/6889ft to big tree camp 2600m/8530ft. Here expect the trek of approximately 3hrs by polepole pace as our famous word means slow pace when approaching the Kilimanjaro summit. Rain is highly expected you should be prepared with the shower today. Enjoy the rainforest trek while remembering that the monkeys are watching you and the birds are calling you. Enjoy your trip overnight at Big Tree Camp.
Today begin your trip in the rainforest but later will change zones to heather and Moorland zone in this zone you will enjoy the views because the trees are getting shorter and the sun is up to use your sun protection effectively while enjoying the 360⁰, the landscape is amazing, enjoy the hot lunch and overnight at Shira 1 camp. Note that: shira 1 camp is a lunch point for 7 days lemosho hikers they have a trek for the next 3-4hrs heading to shira 2 camp 3850m/12631ft.
Today the trail is gradual good for breathtaking heading to Shira 2 camp enjoy your trek overnight at Shira 2 camp. Remember the going up and sleep low principle it works, at this camp you can work in the evening for 1hr and back at the camp for dinner and sleep.
Today is an acclimatization day going to a higher elevation and back to a lower level of elevation through the desert zone as your new zone on Kilimanjaro, trekking days enjoy the hot lunch at lava tower then go lower to Barranco camp where you will spend the night before scrambling the Barranco wall.
Are you excited to climb the Barranco wall? This is the favorite part of most guests who conquer Mount Kilimanjaro. The top of the Barranco wall is 4200m/13779ft where you will enjoy the 360⁰ views of the valleys and the pictures are so nice here. A hot lunch is provided at the camp enjoy your trip in the semi-desert zone and spend the night at karanga camp. Note that: this is the only whole night you have before the summit attempt to use it effectively make sure you sleep.
Today you will work 2-3 hours trekking to the last ascending camp before the summit attempt. Trek gently enjoy the hot lunch at the camp and take a rest waiting for the summit in the mid the night.
Dear beloved guests summiting is our mission, and safety is our priority. Today is expected to be the longest day on your trip. Wow well equipped and strong-minded, after light breakfast begin your summit attempt gently scrambling the rocks before you go through the switch back leading you to Stella point 5756m/18884ft. This is your first summit point. The stunning sunrise and spectacular views stretching your neck make it rotate 360⁰. After the summit come back to Barafu camp for lunch before you go down Mweka camp is highly recommended according to your condition and the time.
This is your final descending day on the mountain. This day is taking you back to the rain forest, missing a shower? You should be prepared. You have a trek of 3-4 hrs before the wonderful celebrations and handing over of your summit certificate.
